Pacifier Activated Lullaby (P.A.L)
Professor Jayne Standley developed the patented audio-feedback technology for the Pacifier Activated Lullaby (P.A.L.). It has been shown to improve non-nutritive sucking in low birth-weight infants. Developed into a commercial product by Healing HealthCare Systems, a commercial product will be marketed and distributed by Ohmeda Medical, Inc., a division of G.E. Medical.
Prototypes used in four university clinical studies are measuring the effectiveness of the P.A.L. technology in supporting feeding and related factors for premature, low birth weight infants.
We will be making more announcements about the 2004 launch of this exciting new product soon.
Product launch is targeted during the summer of 2004
