Distributed Queuing System (DQS)

The Distributed Queuing System was designed by former FSU staff member Thomas Green as a management tool to aid in computational resource distribution across a network. DQS provides architecture transparency for both users and administration across a heterogeneous environment, allowing for seamless interaction for multiple architectures. The commercial version of DQS, Codine, was originally offered by licensee Gridware, Inc. a company formed by a merger between the German company GENIAS Software GMbH and the US company Chord Systems. Sun Microsystems, Inc. has since acquired Gridware and has incorporated Codine into their Sun Grid Engine software.
