First Annual Florida State University Innovators Reception

On November 3, 2005, The FSU Office of Research held its First Annual Innovators Reception at the University Center Club immediately following the Office of IP Development and Commercialization Fall 2005 Workshop. The reception was attended by 85 faculty, staff and students as well as business leaders from the TalTech Alliance Board, the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and other businesses. The purpose of the evening was to recognize members from the FSU community who have greatly contributed to the development of the intellectual property portfolio for the University. Kirby Kemper, the Vice President for Research, presented a Galileo Thermometer as a token of recognition to the principal investigators who have helped make FSU research and creative efforts commercially available since 1996.

Three framed honor roles were on display to recognize those who had a patent issued, a patent application filed, or a disclosure filed in fiscal year 2005.
